Charlotte Highlights: Camp North End Edition

Updated: Aug 5, 2021

Well, I hope you all are ready!

If you all remember correctly, I was in Ashville for a weekend trip a while ago & forgot to post about it. So, due to having too much free time I thought I'd go ahead & start posting. Starting with the first place that stole my heart!

Before diving into the photos, though, I've got some honorable mentions:

That's Novel Books: It's a bookshop in the district that sells mainly used books but they have the cutest entryway (when their garage door isn't open). It's a short hallway that is lined with pages of books that were damaged & yes, before you ask, I do plan on doing that in my future home. You can find them on Instagram @thatsnovelbooks

Grow: a plant shop that has motorcycles, stickers, & personalized gifts. What I loved the most about Grow is how natural everything in the store was, there wasn't a lot of unnatural material in the store other than the necessities. Did I forget to mention the motorcycle? Go find them on Instagram @grow.clt

Hex Coffee: if you know me, then you know local coffee shops are my go to in any new town or city. Especially w/ the name like Hex, how could I stay away? What. A. Vibe. Don't believe me, go check their Instagram out @hexcoffee

The first stop once reaching Charlotte was Camp North End &, let me tell you, it was outstanding. Campe North End is a considered an up-&-coming, community of environmentally friendly & supportive people who coexist on 76 acers of 'imagination'. The camp is filled to the brim with art inspired shops, talented foodies, dreamy clothing & hair salons, & who knowns what else!

After several hours there, I still had not seen everything this camp had to offer & I will forsure be back.

There Instagram is @campnorthend, check them out!

It was unbelievably hot in Charlotte so when Popbar appeared, I couldn't say no. Fresh fruit, dipped in chocolate, & coated w/ goodies? Uh, hello! Cookies & Cream bar dipped in chocolate with sprinkles & Chocolate dipped Strawberries w/ white chocolate drizzle. Need I say more?

There is a section in the Camp North End district where local artist were encouraged to paint garage doors, containers, & even dumpster. While walking through the camp I watched a guy & girl paint a green dumpster white & decorated it was an array of pink flowers & birds. It felt rude to take a photo of them so I just watched for a moment & move on. However, I did take this photo of a snake.

I love snakes & nature, & this was beautiful so I couldn't not take the photo, ya know?

Had to save the best for last, Wentworth & Fenn, a bakery shop that stole my heart & my stomach. Firstly, the name is perfect. The vibe of the shop? STOP, I could have moved in immediately. Think: dark naturalist with a royal touch & pastries. Secondly, the pastries. The two featured in the photo above are a Blackberry Tartlet & a gold dusted, giant macaron. However, the array that the small storefront had available made it fell as though I was in a movie.

To say the least, if I could I'd have Wentworth & Fenn do the pastries for every single event in my life I would. Check their vibe & their goodies on Instagram @wentworth_and_fenn

But, hey, don't listen to me. Go yourself & check them out, I dare you! & let me know what you think, I'd be interested in hearing.

Ciao Tesoro,
