It's... Friday?
This week has been a long one, if you'd like to know.
This week I've attempting to use my calendar, it's like a binder of sorts with pockets & I've covered it in stickers because I don't like the pattern it has. It's stripped, which I love, but it's a lot of colors that I do not care for. Pastel blue, yellow, a creamish color, but it is dark green & orange which are two of my favorite colors. Pros & cons, ya know?
Whatever though, I've been trying to incorporate it more into my life to aid in organization. Has it help? Perhaps, I'm not entirely sure if it has helped or if I've just been able to focus more because -more sleep- Either way I've been able to achieve more this week than last week, especially socially speaking.
The beginning of this week I bonded w/ a co-worker about true crime, specifically the Keddie Murders of the 1980s. If you don't know you need to look into it, it's full of sush & twists with all the people involved. It was a quadruple homicide in a small, rural town that has never really known crime. It literally shook the town as well as me. A slight warning though because it is very sad, since it is unsolved.
Let me focus, this coworker & I bonded over a few true crime stories but this particular one was fun for the both of us. She has a masters in crime-wed-investigation type degree, I'm not entirely sure but this type of stories are right up her alley. We also debated what would cause us to consider murder as an option & how we would murder our imaginary abusive significant others. Very interesting conversation especially for those other coworkers who were only randomly popping into the conversation.
Do not ask how I would kill my imaginary abusive significant other, tis a secret.
On Wednesday I went to the park w/ a friend of mine & we had a picnic & had cupcakes. The weather was wonderful, warm w/ a gentle breeze & there were saw a lot of adorable dogs. What I thought was going to be 2 or 3 hours of hanging out turn out to be more... a little more than 6 hours of deep conversation.
Our conversation included religion, college, life (in general), future dreams, eating habits. It was nice & refreshing being able to reconnect w/ her after not being able to see her after a few months.
It's Friday, as you may know, is D&D night. D&D is fun, especially because I am a strong monk woman dressed as a plague doctor. Specifically a Way of Mercy Monk, Moon Elf.
My sister & her boyfriend will be in town this weekend, visiting for her boyfriend's birthday. They want to have dinner at a place I've never eaten at before so -anxiety- but it'll be fine. Every restaurant has french fries & chicken tenders, right?
Other than then, my sweet Godson will be turning 2 this weekend. I've gotten him a book for his birthday that is called "My first 100 Science Words", it is apart of a series too. There are, I believe, 8 in the entire series & covers a variety of careers.
So, whether or not the calendar has aided me or not I cannot say but...
This week has been productive & I've still managed to fall behind in my course work. Its okay to say, go right away because I am certainly laughing in between the tears.
In all honesty, there is more that I'd like to talk about but the session is starting & I'm mentally tired. Tune in next week!
Arrivederci,
Lore
